This one is a little out there but I thought I’d submit it nonetheless. I think ALK performers would benefit from a Setlists feature along the lines of what is in Akai VIP 3.0. Here how it could work:
At the root of the ALK UI there is a feature called Setlists (maybe it is a menu option that opens a Setlists tab, like how preferences work)
In the Setlists view ALK has scanned the drive for all ALK files and presents then in a list.
A user can create and name a new Setlist (view) or click on one that has already been defined - the list of setlists would appear in a column beside the list of ALK files.
Clicking on a setlist (or creating a new one) would show yet another column to the right with slots for the songs in the set. Users would simply drag from the ALK files list and drop them into the desired song nbr slot. The could also drag any song within the setlist to rearrange it.
During a performance the user can call up a saved setlist and then step through it using midi commands. This would alleviate repetitive setups (no pun intended) or any administrivia associated with loading the next ALK song while on stage (which detracts from rapport with the audience it.
Just a thought...
